Conflict Resolution (link)

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires that each state have procedures in place to address disputes and conflicts between parents and schools regarding children ages 3-21 who receive special education services. NDDPI, Office of Special Education ensures that the following options are available to anyone wishing to remedy conflicts regarding children receiving special education services.

North Dakota Pathfinder Parent Center (link)

The North Dakota Pathfinder Parent Center help parents and educators to connect, plan for and become engaged in each child/person's education. Our mission includes individuals who receive both general education and special education services from birth through age 26.

North Dakota Protection & Advocacy Project (link)

The Protection & Advocacy Project (P&A) is a state agency whose purpose is to advocate for, and protect the legal rights of, people with disabilities.

PACER Center expands opportunities and enhances the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families. PACER is staffed primarily by parents of children with disabilities and works in coalition with 18 disability organizations.

West Central Human Services (link)

Case management is the single point of entry to services for people with developmental disabilities that are funded by the N.D. Department of Human Services. Case managers provide information and referrals to service providers and assist eligible individuals and their families in identifying, coordinating, and monitoring the support services necessary to meet individual goals. People with an intellectual disability or related conditions and similar needs may be eligible for services.
