Math Night
Math Night was a great success! The gym was bursting at the seams with parents, students, and teachers playing math games. Students taught their parents how to play their grade level game using dominoes, dice, or numeral cards. Every child received and packet of math games to take home. A big "Thank You" goes out to our community supporters who provided coupons for treats: Dairy Queen, Happy Joe's, TCBY, and Wendy's.

Classrooms Receive ActivBoards
Fifteen classrooms at Saxvik have been outfitted with state-of-the-art ActivBoards. Interactive whiteboards are a new technology allowing active participation of all students in lessons designed to enhance our curriculum. Research has found that students taught using the Promethean ActivClassroom achieved an average of 17 percentile points higher than students taught by the same teacher, teaching the same content, using traditional methods.
